Thanks so much for visiting us here…..For those who do not know, we have decided to transition out of the pottery studio business. In considering this move, we wanted to be certain that the space would remain a creative, community based art studio. We are so pleased to announce that will be the case!
The studio will close for renovations on December 31 and reopen under new management and the name Mud Matters on January 15, 2017.
Many of the teachers at Mud Sweat and Tears will continue in the new studio and more will be joining the faculty. The practice time — known as Open Studio — has expanded to encourage more people to learn and work with clay. The new owners (all 3 are potters themselves) have an active schedule planned that will include: one-time workshops; private and group lessons; as well as other specialty events. Experienced clay artists are welcome to join as Studio Potters. This will continue as a vibrant community service, much the way it has been for the last 35 years.
To find out about the course offerings, lessons of any kind, special workshops, and how to become a studio artist, you can go directly to the Mud Matters website at www.mudmatters.com
Thank you for all your support over these years. It has meant so much to us.
We do hope you will consider supporting this new venture.
